About the Emotional Intelligence Leadership Institute

The Emotional Intelligence Leadership Institute (EILI) exists to make emotional intelligence usable: not as theory, but as capability that holds up under pressure.

Twenty-five years of consulting taught us that leaders rarely fail for lack of knowledge. You can understand every model, read every book, complete every workshop, and still freeze in exactly the moment you needed to speak, or respond in a way you never intended. EILI is built for that moment.

That work now takes two forms: organizational consulting and Ellie, an AI emotional intelligence coach available to every person in an organization, from individual contributor to C-suite.

Our Mission
What Sets Us Apart

This work is not just intellectual. Understanding a model does not change what you do when the conversation gets hard, so we built EILI around practice, application, and availability.

Coaching once a week or once a month doesn't reach the moment when the skill is actually needed; you end up prioritizing what to bring, and the real gaps slip through. Executive coaching rarely reaches below the senior tier. Wellness apps offer content, not coaching. EILI is designed for the space in between: depth at every level, in the moment it counts, at work and in the rest of a person's life alongside it.

To equip people to lead wherever they play, giving them the skills and insight to navigate a complex world with grace, authenticity, and emotional intelligence, so that both work and home promote wellbeing and real performance.

We help organizations use emotional intelligence to navigate change, including the complexity of hybrid work, and to build cultures where people connect meaningfully and lead with purpose.

Our Approach

The same four-part framework runs under every EILI engagement and every Ellie conversation. It is built from what we have seen work in real situations, with real people, under real pressure.

Assess: Understand what you are actually working with, in the room, in the dynamic, and in yourself. Everything else is built on that clarity.

Regulate: Create the internal conditions that make it possible to think and act with intention. This is not suppression, and not a calm you do not feel.

Respond: Find your own response rather than the perfect one, true to who you are and right for what the situation actually calls for. The aim is choices, not a script.

Reflect: Build genuine competence over time, without the self-criticism or the loops that go nowhere.

Our approach draws on research in emotional intelligence, neuroscience, and organizational psychology, and on twenty-five years of practice in the field. From that work we know that a culture with high emotional intelligence enhances creativity, collaboration, and productivity while reducing burnout, turnover, and disputes. It is foundational to a company's strategic success.

Privacy is structural, not a policy. Individual conversations with Ellie are never visible to an employer, a manager, or a People team. Organizations see aggregate patterns only, and the thresholds that keep individuals unidentifiable are enforced in code rather than managed in a settings panel.

Join Us on the Journey

Whether you are an individual leader building these skills or an organization building them into how you actually operate, there is a way in. Ellie is in beta, available both to organizations and to individuals by direct subscription, and our consulting work continues alongside it.
